I’m stuck between a hopeful future
And an all too well forgotten past.
One day, even someday, this dream
Will draw breath and walk with me.
Time lies that it’s as lifeless as stone,
Chipped away at more each month.
A heart without break is hardly love;
I grow patience because we are eternal.
I’d dash myself into a million pieces,
A million times over to build her up.
She touches all the broken parts of me;
Won’t wince at all my vulnerabilities.
She see me when I don’t want,
But when I need to be seen.
I would never risk abandoning this hope.
